Answer:

Therefore the measure of RS is 12 unit.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

In ΔNPQ,

R is a midpoint of NP and

S is a midpoint of PQ.

RS = 47 - 5x, and NQ = 5x - 11

To Find:

RS = ?

Solution:

Mid Point Theorem:

The line segment joining the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and is equal to one half of the third side.

Here ,R is a midpoint of NP and

          S is a midpoint of PQ.

∴ RS=\dfrac{1}{2}NQ

Substituting the values we get

47-5x=\dfrac{1}{2}(5x-11)\\\\2(47-5x)=5x-11\\\\94-10x=5x-11\\5x+10x=94+11\\15x=105\\x=\dfrac{105}{15}=7\\x=7

Now Substituting ' x ' in RS we get

RS=47-5\times 7=47-35=12\\RS=12\ unit

Therefore the measure of RS is 12 unit.

Please help me Arithmetic Reasoning
jek_recluse [69]

Step-by-step explanation:

Price of Jeans = $78.35

30% coupon = 30% × $78.35 = $23.51

6% sales tax = 6% × $78.35 = $4.70

1% local option tax = 1% × $78.35 = $0.78

Total cost of jeans = $78.35 - $23.51 + $4.70 + $0.78 = $60.32

What is the slope of this line
kifflom [539]

Answer:

3/4

Step-by-step explanation:

We can find the slope from the two points given

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

   = (1- -2)/(2 - -2)

    = (1+2)/(2+2)

    = 3/4

Explain in your own words why (x + y)2 ≠ x2 + y2. Provide a numerical example to illustrate.
bekas [8.4K]
Im not sure if you wrote this wrong because (x+y)2 does equal x2+y2. An example would be if x equals 3 and y equals 4 (3+4)2=(3)2+(4)2 (7)2=6+8 14=14.
