So the area of a triangle formula is a=hb times b /2  so 14 times 20 is 180 divide by 2 is 140

Answer:

As waiwai993 answered, Can/May/Will have different meanings. However asking someone if they can help you usually implies that you would like their help, and it gives the person an opportunity to decline without being rude. Maybe they are able to help in theory, but can't right now because they are too busy. In that case they can say that they can't help. If they simply don't want to help they can just decline without a reason. So I would always use "Can you help me with this" or "Could you help me with this" unless I needed a more specific case (such as I KNOW that they CAN, but I am forcing to answer whether they WILL or not, or I know that they are ABLE, but maybe their mother won't let them*).

The model represents the equation <br> 4x+ 4 = 12<br> What value of x makes the equation true
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

All you have to basically do on this one is go backwards.

The beginning equation is 4x+4=12, so to first revesre the adding we are going to use 12, the product, and subtract 4 from it (since that is what was added).

12-4=8

Now you need to reverse the times 4, so to do that just divide instead because that is the invese of multiplication.

8/4=2

Now you have 2, which is the variable, x. To make sure this is right you can just put it into the equation and see if 4x2+4 is 12

Hope this helped!

It’s due tomorrow plz HELP
Vikentia [17]

1)

\dfrac{3}{4}  + 5 -  \dfrac{1}{2}  = \dfrac{3}{4}  +  \dfrac{20}{4} -  \dfrac{2}{4}  =  \dfrac{21}{4}  = 5 \dfrac{1}{4}

2)

\dfrac{2}{3}  +  {2}^{3}  -  \dfrac{1}{3}  =  \dfrac{2}{3}  +  \dfrac{24}{3}  -  \dfrac{1}{3}  =  \dfrac{25}{3}  = 8 \dfrac{1}{3}

3)

- 15 + 6x - 19 - 20x =  - 14x - 34

4)

- 7x - 2 - 9y + 10x = 3x - 9y - 2

5)

14 + x = 18 \\ x = 18 - 14 \\ x = 4

6)

- 5x =  - 15 \\ x =  - 15 \div ( - 5) \\ x = 3

7)

- 2x + 8 = 18 \\  - 2x = 18 - 8 \\  - 2x = 10 \\ x = 10 \div ( - 2) \\ x =  - 5

8)

3x + 18 - 8x =  - 17 \\ 3x - 8x =  - 17 - 18 \\  - 5x =  - 35 \\ x =  - 35 \div ( - 5) \\ x = 7
