When bacilli in a chain fold back upon each other like a hinge, this cellular arrangement is termed a Palisades

Further explanation

Palisade cells are plant cells that located on the leaves, below the epidermis and cuticle. Palisade cells are vertically elongated. The chloroplasts in these cells absorb a major portion of the light energy used by the leaf. Palisade cells are found in the mesophyll of a leaf and their main function is in the absorption of light so that photosynthesis can take place.

The palisade layer contains the most chloroplasts as it is near the top of the leaf. The chloroplasts contain the pigment chlorophyll. The palisade cells are arranged upright. The arrangement of Palisade cells is important because the spongy layer contains fewer chloroplasts, that is enough to catch what the palisade layer cannot absorb.

The bacilli bend at the points of division following the cell divisions, resulting in a palisade arrangement resembling a picket fence and angular patterns that look like Chinese letters.

Hope it helps!

Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

The correct answer is - 2n = 41 chromosomes.

Explanation:

It is given that the cat has a diploid chromosome number of 38 while the rabbit has a diploid number of 44 chromosomes and if they form a hybrid then their expected chromosome number in somatic cells would be -

Cat (2n=38) produces haploid gametes with 19 chromosomes (n-19).

Rabbit (2n=44) produces haploid gametes with 22 chromosomes(n=22)

19+22= 41 chromosomes in the particular hybrid as half number of chromosomes come from each parent.

To accomplish the screening, researchers synthesize a single-stranded dna probe using vgp mrna as a template. what will be the s
Andreyy89
There are only two things you need to know.

1. A probe works by base pairing to the DNA strand, so its sequence must be complementary to the DNA sequence of interest.
2. You need to know which strand is the strand of interest.

To tell the truth I'm not sure about the answer to question 2. Which one is the template strand? Either can be used as the template. I *think* the top strand is typically used as the template, but usually it's specified. Perhaps it's specified somewhere in your question or previously.

Anyway once you find your template strand, an mRNA was made from it so its sequence is complementary to the template strand. Then a probe was made using the mRNA as a template, so it is complementary to the mRNA, which in turn is complementary to the template strand (on the original DNA). So essentially what this means is that the probe will have the same sequence as the DNA template strand (the one you used to make the mRNA).

Nana76 [90]

Answer:

A kinesin.

Explanation:

Kinesin is a protein belonging to a class of motor proteins found in eukaryotic cells.

Kinesins move along microtubule (MT) filaments, and are powered by the hydrolysis of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) which means kinesins are ATPases. Active movement of kinesins supports several cellular functions like mitosis, meiosis and transport of cellular cargo, such as in axonal transport.
