The correct answer is B) empathy.

The virtue Ahmed should teach his daughter to ease cultural assimilation is empathy.

When immigrants arrive in the United States they are exposed to a new and very different culture, beliefs, and traditions. Immigrants of Central and South America probably are more familiar with the American way of thinking because of Mass Media influence. But in the case of Asian, Middle Easterns or Arabs, the cultural shock can be very different.

In this case, Ahmed should teach his daughter the virtue of empathy, to see things from the perspective of others in order to understand why they think and act like the use to act, because in doing this, the daughter could understand that people are different and are the product of their own influences. If she understands this, she can be tolerant and respect a new and different way to see the world.

Answer:

The answer is Empathy.

Explanation:

Empathy is the ability to perceive, share and infer the feelings, thoughts and emotions of others, based on the recognition of the other as similar, that is, it is the emotional participation that a person has in a reality outside of them, usually in the feelings or customs of another person. Empathy is vital for social life; For this reason it is essential that Ahmed teach his daughter empathy to be able to adapt adequately to this new country, where people's customs and actions are different from those of their country of origin.

Why did Christopher Columbus name the people he met in the Bahamas in 1492 " Indians”?
GREYUIT [131]

Answer:

When Christopher Columbus arrived on the Bahamian Island of Guanahani (San Salvador) in 1492, he encountered the Taíno people, whom he described in letters as "naked as the day they were born." The Taíno had complex hierarchical religious, political, and social systems. Skilled farmers and navigators, they wrote music and poetry and created powerfully expressive objects. At the time of Columbus’s exploration, the Taíno were the most numerous indigenous people of the Caribbean and inhabited what are now Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. By 1550, the Taíno were close to extinction, many having succumbed to diseases brought by the Spaniards. Taíno influences survived, however, and today appear in the beliefs, religions, language, and music of Caribbean cultures.
