Several species of fish and marine life eat plankton. How is that diversity important to the ecosystem as a whole?

If there weren't so many species eating the plankton, two main things could possibly happen.

1) The amount of plankton could significantly rise, to possibly dangerous levels.
2) Other species would be expected to be abundant, so that the animals can eat something else.

See, if plankton is the building block of the food web, imagine how different the animals who eat plankton would be if the building block was removed or changed?

Hope this helps! <3

A carbohydrate molecule is (2 points) a macromolecule made of amino acids that provides structure for a cell and is not soluble
Sonja [21]
Carbohydrate consists as the name as of carbon and hydrogen and oxygen in the same ratio as water (hydra). Another name for carbohydrates would be saccharides... this is for an example glucose, ribose and so on... and we use fx glucose in cellular respriation.

lesya692 [45]

Answer:

1s2 2s2 2p4

Sweating and panting are examples of which characteristic of life?
Viktor [21]

Answer:

Responding to the environment

Explanation:

Sweating and panting are mechanisms of homeostasis i.e the regulation of the body's internal environment in response to changes or fluctuations in the external environment.

Sweating is a physiological response to the body's core temperature rising above the limit of 36.5-37.5°C. Once the hypothalamus in the brain detects this rise in temperature, cooling mechanisms are initiated. One of these is sweating. Release and subsequent evaporation of sweat through the sweat glands produces a cooling effect.

Panting is a physiological response more observed in dogs. Dogs lack sweat glands and therefore cannot lower their core temperature through sweating. Panting utilizes saliva instead of sweat to lower body's temperature to the set limit.
