Answer:

B

Explanation:

The proton motive force; is the free energy released during the oxidation of NADH or FADH2 and it is stored both as an electric potential and a proton concentration gradient across the inner membrane.

The purpose of proton motive force is that the movement of protons back across the inner membrane, driven by this force, is used to the synthesis of ATP from ADP and Pi by ATPase/ ATP synthase (F0F1 complex ).

What mass (g) of potassium chloride is contained in 430.0 mL of a potassium chloride solution that has a chloride ion concentrat
fredd [130]

Answer:

6.178 g.

Explanation:

 • KCl is ionized in the solution as:

KCl → K⁺ + Cl⁻.

∴ [KCl] = [K⁺] = [Cl⁻] = 0.193 M.

Molarity is defined as the no. of moles of the solute per 1.0 L of the solution.

∵ M = [(mass/molar mass)KCl][(1000)/(V of the solution)].

∴ mass of KCl = (M)(molar mass of KCl)(V of the solution)/1000 = (0.193 M)(74.55 g/mol)(430.0 mL)/1000 = 6.178 g.

The approach most commonly used to measure metabolic rate is to measure the rate of O2 consumption. Although there are small err
In-s [12.5K]

Explanation:

Metabollic rate is the amount of energy expended from an organism at a given point in time.

Equation of how glucose (food) is broken down via respiration:

C6H12O6(s) + 6O2(g) --> 6H2O(l) + 6CO2(g)

The amount of energy produced for the types of food is roughly proportional to the amount of oxygen use, so that the metabolic rate can be measured by measuring the rate of oxygen consumption.
