a^2+b^2=c^2
7^2+8^2=c^2

The area of each triangular face is
.. A = (1/2)*b*h
.. Aside = (1/2)*(6 cm)*(5 cm) = 15 cm^2

The area of the triangular base is
.. Abase = ((√3)/4)*s^2 = (√3)/4*(6 cm)^2 = 9√3 cm^2

The total surface area is the base area plus the area of the three sides.
.. Atotal = Abase + 3*Aside
.. = 9√3 cm^2 +3*15 cm^2
.. = (45 +9√3) cm^2
.. ≈ 60.6 cm^2

Actually, there's an error in the picture. The height of the side should be 4, and the length of the edge should be 5. Making that adjustment, the total area is 51.6 cm^2.

It is hard to tell what is intended. Not all answers are showing, so we can't "reverse-engineer" the problem from the answers.

What are the zero(s) of the function f(x)=<img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%5Cfrac%7B4x%5E%7B2%7D-36x%20%7D%7Bx-9%7D" id="TexFo

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The function will be zero when the numerator is equal to 0. So, set the numerator equal to 0 and solve:

0 = 4 {x}^{2}  - 36x

I will use the quadratic formula:

\frac{ 36  +  \sqrt{ {36}^{2}  - 4(4)(0)} }{2(4)}  \\  \frac{  36 + 36}{8}  = 9

Therefore, x = 9 is a 0. Let's check with subtracted root now:

\frac{ 36   -    \sqrt{ {36}^{2}  - 4(4)(0)} }{2(4)}  \\  \frac{ 36  -  36}{8}  =  0

It appears 0 is also a root.

Therefore, the answer is D.

Lynna [10]

Answer:

12x + 18y + 6z + 4x - 4z

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the expression : 3(4x + 6y + 2z) + 4(x – z)

To eliminate the parenthesis ; we use the distributive property :

3(4x + 6y + 2z) + 4(x – z) becomes ;

3*4x + 3*6y + 3*2z + 4*x + 4*-z

12x + 18y + 6z + 4x - 4z

Hence,

12x + 4x + 18y + 6z - 4z

16x + 18y + 2z
