Answer: No

Step-by-step explanation: In order to decide whether the given fractions are equivalent, first write each fraction in lowest terms.

A fraction is written in lowest terms if the greatest common factor of the numerator and the denominator is 1.

So for our first fraction, 4/9, since the greatest common factor of 4 and 9 is 1, we know that are fraction is already written in lowest terms.

For our second fraction however, since the greatest common factor of 20 and 36 is 4, we must divide both the numerator and the denominator by 4 to write our fraction in lowest terms. This gives us 5/9.

Since 5/9 is bigger than 4/9, te fractions are not equivalent so no, 4/9 is not equivalent to 20/36.

No because

36 / 9 = 4

20 / 4 = 5

So they are multiplied by different amounts so they aren’t equivalent

FOR BRAINLIEST
Express 0.64 as a fraction in lowest terms.
5/32
64/10
16/25
4/5
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer:In its decimal form, it says ' 64 / 100 '.

In order to change it to its lowest terms, we look to see whether the

numerator and denominator have a common factor greater than ' 1 '.

If they do, then we can divide numerator and denominator by their

common factor, and have the same fraction in lower terms.

The common factors of 64 and 100 are 1, 2, and 4 .

We could divide top and bottom by 2, but that wouldn't finish the job.

It's always best to divide them by their greatest common factor, and

once you do that, you're done.

Dividing the numerator and denominator both by 4,

we get the fraction in its lowest terms:

        0.64  =  64/100  =  16/25
