The value of the retirement account will be the future value which is calculated using FV function of Microsoft excel as in =FV(rate,nper,pmt) where

RATE = Annual interest rate = 8% = 8/100 =0.08

NPER = number of periods = number of years = 25

PMT= Annual deposit = 5850

Retirement account value =FV(0.08,25,5850) = 427,669.75

The balance in the retirement account in 25 years = $427,669.75

On May 1 Ralph offers to cure and smoke Sam’s pork, and promises to keep the offer open until June 1. On May 3 Ralph mails Sam a
garik1379 [7]

Explanation:

I would say may 6th because Sam didn't know Ralph was going to revoke until May 5th and that only makes it half final because Ralph wouldn't know in anyway except through a letter that Sam has received his letter and agreed or disagreed.

May 6th is when he gets the confirmation. So both people know on May 6th.

If this is too confusing ( like it was for me I had to read it 6 times ) then think about it this way. if you make a deal with a fisherman to buy fish on Wednesday and you send him a lettering sunday that arrives a day later, the fisherman won't know until a day later (Monday) and on that day he receives it you don't know if he got it. That's why it's half official. when he send a letter that arrives the day after he got your letter (tuesday) then you know that he understood you won't make it on Wednesday making it fully official.

does this make sense? if so hope it helps.

son4ous [18]

Answer:

The present value of your windfall if the appropriate discount rate is 10 percent is $5,562

Explanation:

Amount of Prize = $3,000,000

number of year = 66 years

Discount Rate = 10%

use following formula to calculate the Present value of Lottery prize

Present Value = Future value / ( 1 + discount rate )^number of years

PV = FV / ( 1 + r )^n

PV = $3,000,000 / ( 1 + 0.10 )^66

PV = $3,000,000 x ( 1 + 0.10 )^-66

PV = $3,000,000 x ( 1.10 )^-66

PV = $5,561.65

PV = $5,562

The payroll register of Ruggerio Co. indicates $10,500 of social security withheld and $2,625 of Medicare tax withheld on total
Anna [14]

Answer:

From the information provided

Federal rate tax of earnings = 30000 × 0.6%

= 30000 × 0.006

= 180

State rate tax of earnings = 30000 × 5.4%

= 30000 × 0.054

= 1620

Medicare taxes = 2625

Social security taxes = 10500

Total payroll tax expenses = Medicare taxes + social security taxes + state rate tax on earnings + federal rate tax on earnings

= 10500 + 2625 + 180 +1620

= $ 14925

THUS,
