Answer:

D. $96,000

Explanation:

We will allocate the cost on maintenance by first stablishing a rate per maintenence hour:

As this is direct method we aren''t doing an allocation to other service department we directly allocate against production department A and B

total hours:  480 + 320 = 800

160,000 total cost /800 hours = 200 per hour

Department B hours: 480

allocate to department B: 480 x 200 = 96,000

Answer: Option (b) is correct.

Opportunity cost is the benefit that is foregone for an individual by choosing one alternative over other alternatives available to him.

If the opportunity cost is lower for an individual then this will benefit him whereas if the opportunity cost is higher then this will not benefit the individuals.

The preferences of Pam, Pru and Pat are given. Therefore, according to their preferences, the opportunity cost of the trip to Hawaii for Pam and Pat is a cruise and for Pru is a skiing.

Answer:

$1023.98

Explanation:

Using the standard notation equation for annual payment and for arithmetic gradient to calculate the present worth of a unit's costs; we have the following corresponding expression.

P = A (P/A, i, n)         &     P = G (P/G, i, n)

where;

A = annual payment

G = arithmetic gradient

n = number of years

i = annual interest rate

From the question;

the payment  period = compounding period

∴ quaterly interest rate = 3%

The present worth value of the unit's cost is therefore shown as

P = 90 (P/A, 3%, 12) + 2.5(P/G, 3%, 12)

P = 90(9.954) + 2.5(51.2481)

P = $1023.98

∴ The present worth value of the unit's cost = $1023.98

scoray [572]

Simply said, demand is the amount of a good or service that consumers are willing and able to purchase at a specific price within a specific time frame. In an economy, people purchase commodities and services to fulfil their needs for things like food, medical care, clothing, entertainment, shelter, etc.

One of the fundamental concepts in microeconomics is the notion of demand. It seeks to address fundamental issues such as how desperately people desire goods and how pleasure and income levels affect demand (utility). Companies change the supply they offer and the pricing they charge based on how useful consumers view the commodities and services to be.
