Answer:

In 10 years from now Violet's age will be 27 years old

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ----> Ben's age

y ---> Violet's age

we know that

Ben is 5 years older than Violet

so

x=y+5 ----> equation A

After eight years, Ben's age will be 1.2 times of Violet's age at that time.

so

(x+8)=1.2(y+8) ----> equation B

substitute equation A in equation B

(y+5+8)=1.2(y+8)

solve for y

y+13=1.2y+9.6\\1.2y-y=13-9.6\\0.2y=3.4\\y=17

Find the value of x

x=17+5=22

therefore

Ben's age is 22 years now

Violet's age is 17 years now

How old will Violet be 10 years from now?

Adds 10 years to Violet's age now

so

17+10=27\ years

A rucksack can hold a maximum of 6 kg.
ratelena [41]

Answer:

9 textbooks!

Step-by-step explanation:

Rucksack can hold = 6kg

Mass of textbook = 680g

So, here we need to show the division for finding the number of textbooks it can hold.

680 g in KG's = 0.68

Now, 6/0.68

That is 8.82 ( Round off = 9 textbooks)

Examine the intersection of these lines:
Leto [7]

Answer:

∠B and ∠F

∠F and ∠E . . . already listed in the problem statement, so may not be considered an "other pair"

Step-by-step explanation:

∠C and ∠F are vertical angles, so are congruent. Then any angle complementary to one of those will also be complementary to the other.

Likewise, ∠B and ∠E are vertical angles and congruent. Any angle complementary to one of them will also be complementary to the other. Here, ∠E and ∠F are listed as complementary, so we know ∠B and ∠F will be also.
