Explanation: An antimicrobial agent is a substance that kills o control the growth of microorganisms, for humans this is very important in medicine or agriculture among others.

This agent should act quickly and being stable that help it to make it cheaper, also should not harm humans or other host of the microbial organisms.

The agent is not useful if only kills vegetative cells because it is not preventing the reproduction of the organism specially in fungi which use sexual reproduction as a backup for asexual cell division, so they will keep spreading across the host.

  2. PRODUCTS :- Glycolysis produces 2 ATP, 2 NADH, and 2 pyruvate molecules: Glycolysis, or the aerobic catabolic breakdown of glucose, produces energy in the form of ATP, NADH, and pyruvate, which itself enters the citric acid cycle to produce more energy.
  3. INPUT:- Glycolysis is the first step in cellular respiration, occurring in all living cells. Overall, the input for glycolysis is one glucose, two ATP and two NAD+ molecules giving rise to two pyruvate molecules, four ATP and two NADH.
  4. BREAKDOWN:- During glycolysis, glucose ultimately breaks down into pyruvate and energy; a total of 2 ATP is derived in the process (Glucose + 2 NAD+ + 2 ADP + 2 Pi --> 2 Pyruvate + 2 NADH + 2 H+ + 2 ATP + 2 H2O). The hydroxyl groups allow for phosphorylation. The specific form of glucose used in glycolysis is glucose 6-phosphate

Prolactin is another name is called luteotropin and its main function is to enable mammals mostly female to produce milk. The pituitary gland secretes it in response to mating, estrogen treatment, ovulation, nursing and eating.

The pituitary gland is attached to the hypothalamus by a short stalk. The pituitary gland has two major parts.

(i)                  An anterior lobe

(ii)                Posterior lobe.

The pituitary gland is controlled by hormones and neurons that comes in the hypothalamus where it acts as a link between brain and endocrine system, and hypothalamus is the endocrine gland itself. Hypothalamus has neurons which regulate secretion of anterior lobe hormones by secreting inhibit and releasing  hormones. Every hormone produced by anterior lobe has a releasing hormone.

Prolactin and growth hormones have inhibiting hormone. Releasing hormone helps in stimulating production and it releases hormones from the anterior lobe.
