The answer should be 1,084
Explanation: she drives 14 miles to PLA and 14 miles from PLA. that’s 28 miles in a day multiply the 3 days she travels back and forth and it gives you 84 miles, plus the 1000 she already had.

There is A Spinner That Have 8 Space 1-8 What Is The Probability That Te Spinner Will NOT Land On 5 or 8?
insens350 [35]

Answer:

\frac{3}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Key skills needed: Probability, Possible Outcomes</u>

1) We are given a spinner --> With numbers: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8

That means there are 8 numbers on the spinner.

2) The problem asks what is the probability that the spinner will not land on 5 or the 8.

To calculate this --> \frac{acceptedoutcomes}{total}

3) The accepted outcomes are when the spinner lands on --> 1,2,3,4,6,7

That is 6 accepted outcomes.

4) The total outcomes is 8 (since there are numbers the spinner can land on).

5) Therefore, the answer would be \frac{6}{8}

\frac{6}{8} can be simplified into \frac{3}{4} as both the numerator (6) and the denominator (8) share a factor of 2.

6) With this --> \frac{3}{4} is the answer.
