Phagocytosis is a process in which a cell engulf any molecule using its plasma membrane. Phagocytes provide non specific defense mechanism as it the first line of defense of our body. our immune system has to tackle several types of foreign particles, Viruses, Bacteria and harmful proteins. This non specificity of action makes the response quicker than the specific Response.
