Answer:

The line of best fit would most likely be y = 3x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

We can tell this because if we use the first two points, it creates this line. We can tell that because using the two points first gives us a slope of 3.

(1, 8) (2, 11)

m(slope) = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

m = (11 - 8)/(2 - 1)

m = 3/1

m = 3

We also know that 8 cannot be the intercept being as it is the point at x = 1. Therefore, we know that y = 3x + 5 must be the only possible answer.

the 2nd one down.

y=3x+5

start at your y intercept (5) and use the rise to run ratio (rise 3, run 1) and there is a point on every single one.

1/3 wouldn't work because you rise 1 and go right 3 and that does not match any of the points

Scott bought a 5lb bag of cookies at the bakery. He ate 2/5 of the bag and his sister ate 2/9 of the bag. What fraction of the b
satela [25.4K]

Answer:  Fraction they both eat = \dfrac{28}{45}.

Fraction of bag remains =  \dfrac{17}{45}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Part of cookies eaten by  Scott = \dfrac25

Part of cookies eaten by sister = \dfrac{2}{9}

Fraction they both eat = \dfrac25+\dfrac29=\dfrac{9\times2+5\times2}{5\times9}

=\dfrac{18+10}{45}\\\\=\dfrac{28}{45}

Fraction of the bag remain = 1-\dfrac{28}{45}=\dfrac{45-28}{45}=\dfrac{17}{45}

[Taking fraction of whole bag =1]

Hence, Fraction they both eat = \dfrac{28}{45}.

Fraction of bag remains =  \dfrac{17}{45}

What is 5/6 divided by 1/7?
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

5\frac{5}{6}

Step-by-step explanation:

To divide fractions, we multiply the first fraction by the <u>reciprocal </u>of the second fraction. (Seven over one)

\frac{5*7}{6*1} =\frac{35}{6}

Now, we convert the fraction into a mixed fraction.

\frac{35}{6}=5\frac{5}{6}

<em>The quotient of 5/6 and 1/7 is 5 5/6</em>
