Answer: 60cm^3

Explanation:

Here we can use the relationship:

Density = mass/volume.

We know that density = 5g/cm^3 and mass = 50g, then we have:

5g/cm^3 = 50g/V

V = 50g/5g/cm^3 = 10cm^3

Then, when we introduce it in a cylinder with 50cm^3 of water, this is heavier than water (the density of the water is 1g/cm^3) it will sink, and the complete volume will be equal to the volume of the water plus the volume of the object:

Total Volume = 50cm^3 + 10cm^3 = 60cm^3

A box is placed on a table. If an upward pulling force on the box is slightly less than the weight of the box, what will happen
aniked [119]

Answer:

A for certain.

Explanation:

I got it right on the test, thanks to the other brainly answerer teresecaway. But knowing the answer doesnt help much if you dont know WHY. The reason WHY is as follows. At first you might think it would be B, because the downwards force is greater than the upwards force. I thought that maybe upwards force would also count as the table supporting it, but no, thats just structural inanimate solid table. The answer is A. gravity would have to be HIGHLY raised or somebody pressing down on it, to make it fall through the table.

You are asked to find a set of dimensionless parameters to organize data from a laboratory experiment, in which a tank is draine
mihalych1998 [28]

Answer:

Step 1

Given: A tank is drained through an orifice from initial liquid level (h₀). The time(r), to drain the tank, depends on tank diameter (D), orifice diameter (d), acceleration due to gravity (g), liquid density (ρ) and liquid viscosity (μ).

r = f (h₀, D, d, g, ρ, μ)

Step 2

There are totally seven parameters r, h₀, D, d, g, ρ and μ

∴ n = 7

The primary variables are M, L, T

∴ m = 3

So, the number of repeating variables are, r = 3

Select the three repeating variables are ρ, d, g

Then according to Buckingham, there will be n-m (⇒ 7-3 = 4) dimensionless groups given by π₁, π₂, π₃ and π₄

So, The number of π terms = 4
