Answer: slope = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

For two lines to be parallel then they have the same slope , if the slope of line 1 is M1 and then slope of line 2 is M2 , if they are parallel then M1 = M2.

Given; y- 4 = + (x + 8)

Make y the subject of the formula , so that the equation can be in slope - intercept form , that is in the form y = mx + c , where m is the slope and c is the y - intercept.

y - 4 = x + 8

 Add 4 to both sides

    y = x + 8 +4

    y = x + 12

since the coefficient of x is 1 , this means that the slope is 1 , any line that will be parallel to this line must have a slope which is 1

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To do this, we must use the unit circle. At the angle \frac{\pi }{6} the coordinate pair is (\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}, \frac{1}{2}) and the hypotenuse is 1

Now that we know these we can start using the trig functions

sin = y

cos = x

tan = \frac{y}{x}

And the other functions would be the reciprocal of these

csc = \frac{1}{y}

sec = \frac{1}{x}

cot = \frac{x}{y}

This would mean that

sinx = \frac{1}{2}

cosx =\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}

tanx =\frac{1}{\sqrt{3} } or \frac{\sqrt{3} }{3} if you're supposed to rationalize your denominators

cscx = 2

secx = \frac{2}{\sqrt{3} } or \frac{2\sqrt{3} }{3}

cot = \sqrt{3}

Answer:

C) (x,y) -> (-x,-y)

Step-by-step explanation:

This is the answer because the graph was flipped. If you look a the x point, it is in the same number, but the number is negative, and this is the same for the y point. hope this helps

x varies jointly with the square of y and z. when y=6 and z=5, x=100. Then, what is x when y=8 and z=2?
djyliett [7]
X = k*y^2 * z
100 = 6^2*5*k,
k=0.555
x=0.555zy^2

x=o.555(8^2)(2)=71.1112.

Hope that helps!
