The probability that at least one will be lit is 99.9%.

To find the probability that at least one is lit we start with the probability that they all burn out:

(0.1)(0.1)(0.1) = 0.001

The probability that one or more of them is lit is 1-(the probability none are lit):
1 - 0.001 = 0.999 = 99.9%

tia_tia [17]
In this situation the revenue is the total sales you make before all expenses.
To find the profit: 3000 - 1500 - 500 = 1000.

He made 3.75 gallons. There was 1/10 remaining, meaning each tenth was 6 cups. The entire thing is 10 tenths so you do 6(10) to get 60 cups. After converting to gallons by doing 60÷26, you get 3.75.
