Answer:

-1.13 m/s^2

Explanation:

The acceleration of the car is given by:

a=\frac{v-u}{t}

where

v is the  final velocity

u is the initial velocity

t is the time

Here we have to convert the velocities from mi/hr to m/s. Keeping in mind that

1 mi = 1609 m

1 h = 3600 s

We get:

u = 65 mi/h \cdot \frac{1609}{3600}=29.1 m/s\\v = 55 mi/h \cdot \frac{1609}{3600}=24.6 m/s

While the time interval is

t = 4.0 s

Substituting,

a=\frac{24.6 - 29.1}{4.0}=-1.13 m/s^2

A bar on a hinge starts from rest and rotates with an angular acceleration α = 15+4t, where α is in rad/s2 and t is in seconds.
Arisa [49]

Answer:

230.53°

Explanation:

α = angle in rad / t^2

t =2mins = 2 × 60 = 120sec.

α = angle in rad / 2^2

α = angle in rad / 16

15+4(2) = angle in rad /4

23 = angle/4

23× 4 = angle in radian

92 = angle in radian

But π rad = 180°

1 rad = 180 /π

Therefore

92 rad = 92 ×180/π = 5270.53°

This value is far more so we subtract from 360° continuously till we get a value less than 360°

5270.53- (360×14) =5270.53- 5040

230.53°

What is the component of 3i^ + 4j^ along i^+j^
kap26 [50]
Using the Pythagorean theorem

a^2 = b^2 + c^2

when a is the hypotenuse, and b and c are opposites and adjacent in a right triangle

3^2 + 4^2 = 5^2

Therefore, the hypotenuse has a magnitude of 5
