Answer:

Please check the <em>attached figure</em> to determine the new orientation of image D after first reflecting across line l and then across line m.

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Describe the image D first reflected across line I then across line m.</em>

In mathematics, a reflection can be termed as just a "flipping" or an "overturn "of an object over a certain axis or line - commonly known as the line of reflection - without altering the shape and size of the original object, though facing in opposite directions.

<em />

<em>First Step: </em>

After the first reflection of letter D across the line l, it would again be a letter D. But the letter D would be a "turned D" letter, though having the same size but locating itself to the right side of the line l as shown in figure. The letter "Turned D" will have its curved side facing the left.

Hence, after the first reflection of letter D across the line l, the "turned D" will have its curved side facing the left, would be having same size but locating to the right side of the line l and also having located to the left side of line m as shown in figure.

<em>Second Step: </em>

After the second reflection across the line m, it would again convert, flip or overturn the the letter to the original object or letter, and its curved side again facing the right (original shape) , but now it would be locating itself to the right side of the line m as shown in figure.

So, new orientation of the image D is attached below.

Find the derivative of the problem below and show your work.
Alecsey [184]

The derivative of the function is =\frac{e^x\left(4x^2-8x+1\right)}{2\left(4x^2+1\right)^2}

<h3>What is Derivative?</h3>

The derivative is the instantaneous rate of change of a function with respect to one of its variables.

Given function:

y=\left(\frac{e^x}{\:\left(8x^2+2\right)}\right)

Differentiating and applying Quotient Rule

=\frac{\frac{d}{dx}\left(e^x\right)\left(8x^2+2\right)-\frac{d}{dx}\left(8x^2+2\right)e^x}{\left(8x^2+2\right)^2}

Now, d/dx (e^{x})= (e^{x})

d/dx(8x²+2) = 16x

So,

=\frac{e^x\left(8x^2+2\right)-16xe^x}{\left(8x^2+2\right)^2}

=\frac{e^x\left(4x^2-8x+1\right)}{2\left(4x^2+1\right)^2}

Hence, the value of derivative is  \frac{e^x\left(4x^2-8x+1\right)}{2\left(4x^2+1\right)^2}

Is anyone good with triangle inequalities? I provided a picture for the problem.
alisha [4.7K]

Answer:

1 < x < 19

Step-by-step explanation:

Triangle Inequality Theorem

Let y and z be two of the side lengths of a triangle. The length of the third side x cannot be any number. It must satisfy all the following restrictions:

x + y > z

x + z > y

y + z > x

Combining the above inequalities, and provided y>z, the third size must satisfy:

y - z < x < y + z

We are given the measures y=10, z=9. The third side must satisfy:

10 - 9 < x < 10 + 9

1 < x < 19
