Common ratio is 5 or -5 to be more precise. 225 divides by 45=5 and 45 divided by 9=5. So the common ratio is 5.

First term of sequence, a1 = 225

next term, a2 = 45

common \: ratio =  \frac{a2}{a1} \\  \\  r =  \frac{45}{225}  \\  \\ r =  \frac{1}{5}

common ratio is 1/5.

Simplify the answer as much as possible
RSB [31]

Answer:

f(-5)=240

g(-7)=-33

Step-by-step explanation:

1) f(x)=3x^2 - 3x

f(-5)= 3×(-5)^2 - 3×(-5) = -15^2 + 15= 225 + 15=240

2) g(x)=5x + 2

g(-7)= 5×(-7) + 2= -35+2=-33

What is the price per kilogram of candy if you paid $2.25 for 1 1/4 kg?
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

1.80 dollars per kilogram of candy.

Step-by-step explanation:

How to get this is simple and you will use it later in life, you take the price of the candy you paid for, then you divide it by the amount in pounds, or kilograms, to get the price per pound.

2.25 / 1.25 = 1.80

Cheers!

Is Part A correct? And can someone please help me with part B? (Highlighted)
Masja [62]
Part A. Your model is as good as any. It is hard to tell if the label needs to include the descriptor (length = 12 ft, for example). Certainly your model is sufficient for Part B.

Part B. The total area is the sum of the areas of each of the 6 faces of the box. Opposite faces are the same area, so you have
  A = 2(LW +WD +LD) = 2(LW +D(L +W))
Subsituting the given dimensions, you get
  A = 2((12 ft)(6 ft) +(3 ft)(12 ft +6 ft))
  A = 2(72 ft² +(3 ft)(18 ft))
  A = 2(72 ft² +54 ft²) = 252 ft²

The least amount of paper required to cover the box is 252 ft².
