Ok, so what your looking for is product of a multiplication problem aka: the answer. This is what your math should look like:
G= Gallon, Q=Quart, p=pint, Cups= Cups of water
So you must break everything down to find your answer. Since there are 4 Quarts in a gallon you have to multiply , because there is 2 pints in each Quart.
or 8 pints.
Next to find how many cups of water there is in a gallon you must multiply the 8 pints by 2 because just like Quarts and pints, there is 2 cups of water in each pint.
