Answer:

Hey there!

Yes. These ratios are equivalent.

If you multiply each side of the 4:5 ratio by 3, you get 12:15

Let me know if this helps :)

DedPeter [7]

(4x-6)+(8x+18)=180(adjacent angles are supplementary)

4x-6+8x+18=180

4x+8x-6+18=180

12x+12=180

12x=180-12

12x=168

x168/12

x=14

8x+18=y+3 (corresponding angles are equal)

8×14+18=y+3

130=y+3

-y=3-130

-y=-127

y=127

x=14, y=127

The geometric mean is defined as the nth root of the product of n numbers

1. 4 and 9

   Geometric mean = \sqrt{4*9} = \sqrt{36}  =6

2. 5 and 8

   Geometric mean = \sqrt{5*8} =\sqrt{40} = 2\sqrt{10}

3. 8 and 32

    Geometric mean = \sqrt{8*32} =\sqrt{256} =16

4. 64 and 36

     Geometric mean = \sqrt{64*36} =\sqrt{2304}=48

Hope that helped!

mario62 [17]

The error in the process is we have to add the coordinates john subtracts the coordinates.

The transformation coordinates are (8, 12).

Given that

John says the transformation rule (x, y) Right-arrow (x 4, y 7) can be used to describe the slide of the pre-image (4, 5) to the image (0, –2).

We have to determine

What was his error?

According to the question

A preimage or an inverse image is the 2D shape that we used to denote before any transformation.

Image is the figure that we get after transformation.

The coordinates of preimages are (4, 5).

Then,

After transformation the co-ordinates are as follows;

(4+4, \ 5+7)\\\\(8,12)

Hence, the transformation coordinates are (8, 12).
