The change in which substance undergoes a chemical change by formation of new substance like any gas, liquid is called chemical change. For example the rust on iron; in this change iron is oxidized into iron oxide.  

FOR EXAMPLES  

When solid iodine and zinc meal powder were mixed and ignite to give white powder is an example of chemical change because there are following changes occurred:

1. Formation of a gas

2. formation of new substances,  

3.  Heat produced or absorbed.

Physical change:

The change in which substance change its physical property as well its identity also; known as physical change. For example; the conversion of water into ice. In this water did not lose its identity
