In the United States, the incident led to large-scale demonstrations organized by Black Lives Matter around various American cities. Several of the demonstrations in the United States were accompanied by various forms of swelling, violence, street fighting and other forms of crime. President Donald Trump in several cases ended up approving the deployment of extra police officers to reduce the violence that ensued following the demonstrations.
