Answer:

d. has no current intention to change or believes there is no need to change

Explanation:

The Prochaska and DiClemente Transtheoretical Model is a theory that aims to describe readiness for change in the stages through which the individual transits throughout his life.

According to the transtheoretical model, Precontemplation is a stage in which there is no intention of change, not even a critique of the conflict involving behavior considered a problem. Generally speaking, the person at this stage does not even view his behavior as a problem and can be called 'resistant' or 'in denial'. For example, in the case of physical activity, a criterion for diagnosing this phase would be physical inactivity and the absence of intention to become active in the next 6 months. The aim of the action is awareness and the supporting strategy is the development of thoughts about change, risks and benefits.

From this we can conclude that according to the transtheoretical model, a person in the pre-contemplation phase has no current intention to change or believes that there is no need to change.

When trying to lose weight how many calories should be eaten verse calories burned?
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

Because 3,500 calories equals about 1 pound (0.45 kilogram) of fat, it's estimated that you need to burn about 3,500 calories to lose 1 pound. So, in general, if you cut about 500 to 1,000 calories a day from your typical diet, you'd lose about 1 to 2 pounds a week.
