Aspiration of Urine can be obtained by catherization. This procedure is performed by using a sterile urinary catheter inserted into the urethra into the bladder where gravity will pull the urine into a collection device. There is another type of aspiration that can be done using a very long needle inserted via puncture into the bladder but this is more invasive & not the first choice.
