What is the Iliad about?
saul85 [17]

Answer:

Iliad is about revenge, war and forgiveness.

Explanation:

Iliad is a poem that is written by a Greek poet, Homer. The revenge is shown in many parts, along with the part where Achilles stops to fight in order to get revenge against Agamemnon. Achilles vowed that he will get revenge for the death of his best friend and brother, and he fought against his killer, Hector. Revenge is almost always accompanied by forgiveness. Eventually, Achilles got his revenge for his brother's death but it doesn't bring him peace and comfort. He sacrificed to the Gods the body of Hector and even after his death, he couldn't reach the inner peace he expected he would get and erase the pain that he felt. Hector's father, King Priam came to him and begged him for his dead son's body. At the end, Achilles felt sympathy because it was his fault that someone lost a son. When he gave Hector's body back, it brought him a piece of comfort. Through the whole book, Achilles was showing no mercy against anyone and he was removing anybody that got in his way. As it always happen, in the end, things turned around unexpectedly. He found peace within his enemy's forgiveness. This book is an important historical gem and every person can learn something from it. It doesn't matte how bitter, angry, disappointed we get, we never know where we will find our closure, peace and forgiveness.

Which classical civilization is most closely associated with trade along the silk road, the building of the great wall, and a so
Pepsi [2]

The Chinese and Roman civilizations are most closely associated with the silk road trade, the construction of the Great Wall, and a society based on filial piety.

What does filial piety mean?

In Chinese and other East Asian cultures, filial piety is regarded as a crucial virtue and is frequently the focus of stories. The Twenty-four Cases of Filial Piety is one of the most well-known collections of these tales. These tales show how young people used to practice their filial piety rituals.

Although China has always had a wide range of religious beliefs, filial piety has always been a practice shared by almost all of them. According to historian Hugh D.R. Baker, respect for the family is the one characteristic that almost all Chinese people share.

Why do you think religion played such an important role in the way rules were regarded in early civilizations?
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Answer:

The majority of African Americans living in the United States during the first half of the nineteenth century were enslaved, working as forced laborers on farms in the American South and West.Although slave owners denied them their basic rights and liberties, enslaved people resisted slavery through small acts of defiance as well as large-scale uprisings.Free people of color lived in cities in the North and the Upper South. They played a prominent role in the growing abolition movement of the early nineteenth century.
