What is the constant of proportionality in the table below?

Mathematics
1 answer:
kenny6666 [7]3 years ago
3 0

Answer:  \dfrac{2}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

The constant of proportionality 'k' between two variables ( one independent and one dependent ) is given by :-

k=\dfrac{\text{Value of dependent variable}}{\text{Value of independent variable}}

In the given table, independent variable = Days

Dependent variable = Total Miles

From first row,  Days = 3

Total Miles = 1\dfrac{1}{5}=\dfrac{6}{5}

Then, the constant of proportionality in the table

k=\dfrac{\dfrac{6}{5}}{3}=\dfrac{6}{5\times3}=\dfrac{2}{5}

Hence, the constant of proportionality in the table is \dfrac{2}{5} .

URGENT<br>Which of the following is the graph of y=0.5sec (x+pi/3)-2?
arlik [135]

Answer:

See attachment.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given function is

y=0.5\sec(x+\frac{\pi}{3})-2

This is the graph of y=\sec(x) that is shifted down 2 units and shifted to the left \frac{\pi}{3} units.

When x=0, y=0.5\sec(0+\frac{\pi}{3})-2

y=0.5\sec(\frac{\pi}{3})-2

y=1-2=-1

The y-intercept is -1.

The correct choice is shown in the attachment

At its farthest point, the moon is
Rainbow [258]

The moon is 252,088 miles from Earth at its farthest point. The Jilene travel distance rounding the corner is 250000 miles.

Given that,

The moon is 252,088 miles from Earth at its farthest point.

According to Jillene, the moon is located roughly 250,000 miles from Earth.

We have to find where did Jillene travel distance rounding the corner.

From the given,

We have distance as 252088 miles.

We can say the approximation of the given miles.

Which we can approximately write as

250000 miles

Therefore, the Jilene travel distance rounding the corner is 250000 miles.
