The rate of change of the second function would be five because it's in the equation form y=mx+b, the m-or rate of change-is five. The equation for the graph would be y=3. It has zero for the m therefore it has no rate of change. This means that the rate of change is five more.

Function 1 :
you have a horizontal line...and rhe rate of change (slope) of a horizontal line is 0.

function 2 :
y = 5x + 4....in y = mx + b form, the rate of change (slope) will be in the m position. Therefore, the rate of change in this one is 5.

difference being : 5 - 1 = 4

Charra [1.4K]
The amplitude is (10.2 - 5.15) or (5.15 - 0.1), which gives the same answer of 5.05 ft.
The period is 24 hours.
The initial value (at t = 0) is 5.15 ft.
The general equation for the sine wave is:
f(x) = (amplitude)*sin(x*2pi/period) + initial value
f(x) = 5.05*sin(x*pi/12) + 5.15

A yogurt costs 35 pence. How many yogurts can be bought with 3 pounds?
julsineya [31]
1 pound = 100 pence
3 pounds = 300 pence

35 pence = 0.35 pounds

So 300/35 = 8 yogurts (with left 35*8 = 280
300-280 = 20 pence)
