19. The marked price of a certain handbag is $400. After two successive
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

x = 25%

Step-by-step explanation:

At the first sale of 25% off, the handbag price dropped from $400 to $300. This is because (400 x 0.25 = 100) and (400 - 100 = 300) Therefore, the selling price of the handbag after one sale was $300.

At the second sale of 25% off, the handbag price dropped from $300 to $225. This is because (300 x 0.25 = 75) and (300 - 75 = 225). Therefore, the selling price of the handbag after two sales is $225.

The value of x remained the same for both sales. x = 25% or 0.25

#5- The ratio of the measurement of an angle to its supplement is : . Find the angle and its supplement
frutty [35]

This would be a great question, and fun to work on, if only you had actually
told us what the ratio of the angle to its supplement is.

Sadly, the only part of the ratio that has survived the trauma of getting posted
is the colon in the middle. The numbers on each side of it have disappeared.

Answer:

I'm having a hard time with this, I keep confusing myself but hopefully this example will help at least to get an idea:

"12 cm

Explanation:

We're pouring 12 litres of water into a container that is 40cm long and 25cm wide. Let's see how big the bottom of the container is:

40cm×25cm=1000cm2

1 litre of water fills 1000cm3, and so it would rise 1 cm (we divide the volume of the water by the surface area to arrive at the height):

1000cm31000cm2=1cm

12 litres of water can then be seen to rise 12 cm:

12×1000cm31000cm2=12cm"
