The equation I came up with for this one would be 64=12+2x. When you solve this equation start with subtracting twelve, than take 52 (64-12) and divide it by two to figure out how many days it has been (26 days). Hope this helps!

Answer:

  rectangle: 2x+2 wide by 2x high

  triangle: 2 high

Step-by-step explanation:

Usually, a problem like this is asking you to find dimension expressions that combine to give you the given expression. There are usually a number of possibilities. Using the designators in the attached, we would generally like to have B > C and A about the same as C. That doesn't seem possible with the given factors.

__

The given quadratic expression factors as ...

  area = 4x^2 +6x +2 = (2x+2)(2x +1)

This might be written to match the area formula as ...

  (2x +2)(2x +2/2)

This would give A=2, B=2x+2, C=2x, as shown in the attachment.

A number is 6 times another number and their difference is 30. What are the numbers?
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

x=36

y=6

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numbers be x and y

Condition 1

x=6y ----------(1)

Condition 2

x-y=30 ------------(2)

Putting 1 in 2

6y-y=30

5y=30

Dividing both sides by 5

y=6

Now

Putting y=6 in 1

We get

x=6(6)

x=36
