Answer:

<h2>972 pi ft^3</h2>

solution,

Volume of this composite figure

= Volume of cylinder+volume of cone

Formula to find volume of cylinder:

\pi \:  {r}^{2} h

Formula to find volume of cone:

\frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h

Use,

\pi =  \: pi

Here,

Radius of cone= radius of cylinder

=9 ft

Height of cylinder=10 ft

Height of cone=16 ft-10 ft=6 ft

Nowz

Volume of the figure:

\: pi \:  {r}^{2} h +  \frac{1}{3}  \: pi \:  {r}^{2} h \\  =  \: pi \times  {(9)}^{2}  \times 10 +  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \: pi \times  {(9)}^{2}  \times 6 \\  =  \: pi \:  \times 81 \times 10 +  \frac{1}{3}  \times 21 \times 6 \times  \: pi \\  = 810 \: pi + 162 \: pi \\  = 972 \: pi \:  {ft}^{2}

Hope this helps...

Good luck on your assignment...

Answer:

  30 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming the lengths are measured when B lies between A and C on a line, the segment addition theorem applies:

  AC = AB +BC

  42 = AB + 12 . . . . . fill in the given numbers

  30 = AB . . . . . . . . . subtract 12

The length of AB is 30 inches.

In a trolley ride around an amusement park, a child traveled from one signpost to a second signpost at a constant speed of 125 m
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

Given speed of trolley = 125 meters per minute

Speed= 125 meters/minute\\\\Speed =\frac{125}{60}meters/second\\\\Speed=2.083m/s

Now we know that

Distance= Speed x time

Thus for the first case since the time of travel is less than 450 seconds thus the distance traveled is less than

Distance < 2.083 x 450 =937.5 meters

hence depending on the given information we cannot come to any conclusion weather the distance travelled is less than 800 m or greater than 800 m.

For the second case

since the time of travel is greater than 400 seconds

Thus the distance traveled is

Distance>2.083\times 400=833.2meters

which is greater than 800 meters.

Do you know what 3.3 to the second power is?
galina1969 [7]
3.3^2 means 3.3 times itself 2 times or 3.3 times 3.3 or (use calculator)10.89
smaller powers (that's what 3.3^2 is, it means 3.3 to the second power) sometimes use different words to denote powers exg

x^2=x squared (square=2dimentionsl)
x^3=x cubed (cube=3 dimentionsl)
then x^4=x to the fourth, and so on
