In order for a function...to be called a function , is that for every x, there must always only be one y. Two x's can have the same y, but the same x can't have two separate y's. One way to test this is the vertical line test. You basically put up a vertical line on the graph. The artificial line (you can do it with your finger, pencil, etc.) should only intersect once on the graph. So, take your pencil, and hold it up to down (like this | ) on your monitor. You see that when you do that, it intersects with the graph twice. That means it DOESN'T pass the vertical line test, which means it is not a function (Function are not always straight lines, which is why the first two are wrong). So, the answer is

Answer the following questions using always, sometimes, or never true.
klio [65]

Answer

<u>sometimes</u>

* entries are the amount of numbers in the matrices*

{ 6, 0, 9, 7}

would have 4 entries

2*3 and 2*3 both have the same number of entries but are not defined

and 2*3 and 3*2 both have the same number of entries and are defined

so it can't be always or never.

Katherine has a point card for movie theater she receives 20 reward points just for signing up earns 5.5 points for each visit t
Citrus2011 [14]

Step-by-step explanation:

x = number of visits

y = number of earned points

the equation for the situation is (remember the 20 points starting balance) :

y = 5.5 × x + 20

and the question is now actually after how many visits she reached 75 earned points.

therefore,

75 = 5.5 × x + 20

55 = 5.5 × x

x = 55/5.5 = 10

she gets a free movie ticket after 10 visits.
