Answer:
Well... currently Angela Merkel is the Chancellor of Germany. She has been the first female Chancellor of Germany since 2005. After getting married in 1978 she started participating in youth organizations in hope to become a great political leader. She found her calling in the world: Leadership and Integrity. She was appointed minister for women and youth by Chancellor Helmut Kohl in January 1991. After the 1994 election Merkel became minister of environment, conservation, and reactor safety, and she presided over the first United Nations Climate Conference in Berlin in March–April 1995. Merkel was elected secretary-general of the CDU on November 7 1995. On April 10, 2000, Merkel was elected head of the CDU, becoming the first woman and the first non-Catholic to lead the party. Although Merkel had hoped to stand as a candidate for chancellor in the 2002 election, a majority of her party expressed a preference for Edmund Stoiber of the Christian Social Union (CSU),the CDU’s sister party in Bavaria. As support for the SPD wavered, Schröder called for an early general election to be held in September 2005, and the result was a virtual stalemate. The CDU-CSU won 35.2 percent of the votes, besting the ruling SPD by just 1 percent. Both parties sought allies in an attempt to form a government, but months of negotiations proved fruitless. Eventually, the CDU-CSU and the SPD settled on a “grand coalition” government with Merkel at its head. On November 22, 2005, Merkel took office as chancellor, becoming the first woman, the first East German, and, at age 51, the youngest person to date to hold the office.
This is how Angela Merkel prepared and became a leader of Germany.
I know this was a lot to read and hopefully you learn something from this.

<span>ART BY THOMAS POROSTOCKY</span>PRO: RESEARCH ON GENE EDITING IN HUMANS MUST CONTINUE
By John Harris
<span>John Harris is professor emeritus in science ethics at University of Manchester, U.K., and the author of How to be Good, Oxford University Press 2016.</span>
In February of this year, the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority in the United Kingdom approved a request by the Francis Crick Institute in London to modify human embryos using the new gene editing technique CRISPR-Cas9. This is the second time human embryos have been employed in such research, and the first time their use has been sanctioned by a national regulatory authority. The scientists at the Institute hope to cast light on early embryo development—work which may eventually lead to safer and more successful fertility treatments.
The embryos, provided by patients undergoing in vitro fertilization, will not be allowed to develop beyond seven days. But in theory—and eventually in practice—CRISPR could be used to modify disease-causing genes in embryos brought to term, removing the faulty script from the genetic code of that person’s future descendants as well. Proponents of such “human germline editing” argue that it could potentially decrease, or even eliminate, the incidence of many serious genetic diseases, reducing human suffering worldwide. Opponents say that modifying human embryos is dangerous and unnatural, and does not take into account the consent of future generations.

The 22nd amendment establishes president term limits. In order for a person to become the president of the United States, he or she must be a U.S born citizen. He/She needs to be at least 35 years old and have lived in the United States for at least 14 years. However, the U.S Constitution does <u>NOT</u> require the candidate to have prior experience in elective office.
More than half of the voting people would support a gay or lesbian presidential candidate. Even though atheist candidates may face resistance, about 60% of voters would support an atheist for president.
