51/4 for the longest strand of string.
96/8 for the shortest strand of string.
Now make a common denomenator.
It is going to be 8.
408/8- 96/8
Your answer is going to be 312/8 or 39.
Hope this helps.

A small town's raffle has 85 entries and 3 gift baskets that three different people could win. What is the probability of winnin
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

<h2>0.035</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

This problem is on probabilty since there are a number of entries to be selected from which are 85 entries, the chances of winning one of the prices if selected is

the number of entries you have/ total number of entries

given that the total entry is 85

and that you have one entry

Since there are three gift baskets you have three chances to win one.

hence there will be a total of three draws, and after each draw, there won't be a replacement of the previous winner (as the winners are three distinct persons).

Hence the probability of winning a draw for the gift basket is

=1st draw+2nd draw+3rd draw

= 1/85+1/84+1/83

= 0.0117+0.0119+0.012

= 0.035

Which ordered pair would form a proportional retationship with the points in the graph?
shtirl [24]

Answer:

(9, 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

the given points are

(3, 2)

(6, 4)

so, can you see, how the sequence continues ?

I see immediately that for every 3 additional units of x we add 2 units of y.

so, yes, the next point in the sequence is

(6 + 3, 4 + 2) = (9, 6).

so, this point (or ordered pair) follows the same ratio or proportional relationship between x and y as the points already in the graph.

in other words, they are on the same line following the same slope ("y coordinate change / x coordinate change" when going from one point on the line to another).

Free_Kalibri [48]
Find the 100% of that. Since plain hot dog is just 26% of total. So $45.50 multiplied by 100/26. Which is $175

Ship A receives a distress signal from the southwest, and ship B receives a distress from the same vessel from the north. At wha
Fiesta28 [93]

I've attached an image showing the coordinates of Ship A and Ship B.

Answer:

distressed vessel is located at (1, 1.5)

Step-by-step explanation:

From the image attached, we can see that;

Coordinate of ship A is (3, 4)

Coordinate of ship B is (1, 1)

Now, we are told that Ship A receives a distress signal from the southwest, and ship B receives a distress from the same vessel from the north.

This means that the distressed ship is somewhere in between ship A & B.

To solve this, we will extend the arrow line from Ship A in that same SW direction and we will do the same for ship B in the same North direction. Their point of intersection is where the distressed ship is located.

Now, if we do that, we will see that they will intersect at the point; (1, 1.5)

Thus,distressed vessel is located at (1, 1.5)
