Trans Saharan trade increased in sub Saharan Africa.

Explanation:

The major commodities that were purchased and sold commercially were the Mediterranean horses, weapons and textiles. Gold, slaves and bison’s meet products were also merchandised along with salt which was mined. Morocco and Libya are some of the countries in the Saharan trade.  

Culture and religion was also got mutually influenced in Trans Saharan route. There was Muslim domination in the Saharan border which made the native Africans get converted to Islam.
