Answer:

1. 78cm^2

2. 200 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

1. i always cut these complex shapes into simpler ones (in this case a rectangle and a triangle)

the rectangles area is 6*8 or 48 and the triangles area is (10*6)/2 or 30 you then add the two areas to get the area for the whole shape 48+30=78

2. once again you're going to break this shape up into the individual rooms and then add them together the garage is a 4*6 room (24) the bedroom is a 8*4 room (32) the living room is a 10*10 room (100) the kitchens a 6*6 room (36) and the bathroom is a 4*2 room (8) you then add all these together

24+32+100+36+8=200

Area of Q4 is 78 sq cm

Area of Q5 is 200 sq ft.

Step-by-step explanation:

SOLUTION OF 4

The given figure is a trapezium.

Here, b_{1} and b_{2} are the two parallel sides.

b_{1} = 8 cm

b_{2} = 8+10 = 18 cm

h is the height.

h = 6 cm

Area of the fig = \frac{1}{2}h( b_{1} + b_{2} )

So,

Area = \frac{1}{2}×6×(18+8) sq cm

= 78 sq cm

SOLUTION OF 5

For garage,

Length (l) = 6 ft

Width (w) = 4 ft

For bedroom,

Length (l) = 8 ft

Width (w) = 4 ft

For dining space,

Length (l) = 10 ft

Width (w) = 10 ft

For washroom,

Length (l) = 2 ft

Width (w) = 4 ft

For drawing room,

Length (l) = 6 ft

Width (w) = 6 ft

Formula

The area of the rectangle = l×w

Now,

Area of the garage = 24 sq ft

Area of the bedroom = 32 sq ft

Area of the dining space = 100 sq ft

Area of the washroom = 8 sq ft

Area of the drawing room = 36 sq ft

Hence, area of the house = 24+32+100+8+36 sq ft = 200 sq ft.

7x10 to the 3rd power, write a pattern to find the value of the expression
myrzilka [38]
Scientific notation is used to express very large or very small values.
Numbers in scientific notation are written in the form of
m × 10 to the power of n
For example:
500 is written as 5 x 10^2 where:
500 = 5 x 10 x 10

Now, let's consider 7 x 10^3:
Following the same procedure:
7 x 10^3 = 7 x 10 x 10 x 10 = 7000
The pattern can be written as:
7 x 10^3 = 7 x 10 x 10^2
              = 70 x 10^2
              = 70 x 10 x 10^1
              = 700 x 10
              = 7000

Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

-3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

to figure that out you have to do y^2 - y^1/ x^2 - x^1

2-(-1)/ -3 - 2

Suppose a car going 65 mph is traveling north parallel to a train going 50 mph. Once the front of the car is as far north as the
scoray [572]

Answer:

0.75 Miles

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the answer we have to find the difference in the distance the train and car travelled

65/60 is 1.083333 which is miles per minute then multiplied by 3 is 3.25 mile gone in 3 minutes

For the train it is 50/60 which is 0.833333 and the times 3 is 2.5 miles in three minutes

3.25 miles minus 2.5 miles is 0.75 miles so that is how long the train is
