It depends on what prism one views this within.

At all levels, lawmakers propose a law and then it is voted on and the executive (mayor, governor, president) puts it into law.

What can be different is who makes up the legislative body. Most often, local government only has one legislative body. Think a city council. This differs from State & Federal governments, which are often bicameral with a Senate and a House of Representatives.

The practical effect of this is that at the local level, as to be expected, less people are involved in the decision making process making the impact of a single city councilperson more effective.

On the back end, local government has less of an administrative state to consider in terms of implementation.

Japan is democratic.

Even though Japan has an Emperor (Emperor Akihito), it also has a Parliament (the National Diet). This means that the Emperor's powers are limited/balanced, while the Parliamentary members are elected (see Prime Minister Shinzou Abe).

With whom did Cornwallis join forces in Virginia?
Tamiku [17]
B) Benedict Arnold

While he was a US soldier, he soon switched sides on the belief that the US would fail to win, and joined the British.

Greene, Washington, and Lafayette were all leaders that supported the Revolution, with the latter being the general the French sent to help fight for US independence.

krek1111 [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

google: Tondou Massif, French Massif du Tondou, plateau region in the eastern Central African Republic, near the border with South Sudan. ... The watershed between the Congo and Nile river systems, defining most of the boundary between the Central African Republic and South Sudan, passes along the eastern edge of the plateau.

me:

The Central African Republic is, in essence, an undulating plateau. Central and south are a series of forested, rolling hills, with some topping 2000 ft. A dense tropical rainforest in the southeast fronts the Ubangi River, and in the north, the land flattens into a treeless, desert-like savanna grassland.
