Answer:

After 6 months, Casey would pay $360 to join either gym.

Step-by-step explanation:

At the first gym, the cost is $35 per month in addition to a $150 joining fee.  So, the equation based on 'x' number of months and a total cost of 'c' is:

c = 35x + 150

At the second gym, the cost is just $60 per month.  So, the equation based on 'x' number of months and a total cost of 'c' is:

c = 60x

Since you want to find the number of months 'x' it would take until Casey would pay the same amount to be a member of either gym, you can take the two equations and set them equal to each other:

35x + 150 = 60x

Subtract 35x from both sides: 35x - 35x + 150 = 60x - 35x or 150 = 25x

Divide both sides by 25: 150/25 = 25x/25 or x = 6

So, after 6 months, the cost would be same.  The find the cost, replace 'x' with 6 in one of the equations:  c = 60(6) = $360.

Shayla is having a picnic and wants to buy enough hamburgers so that each guest can have one. If she is planning on having 52 gu
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

6 ≤ x ≤ 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Dividing 52 by 8 gives you a decimal between 6 and 7. Since you can only but hamburgers in packages of 8, the inequality is 6 ≤ x ≤7 with x being the number of hamburger bags.

The following table shows the speeds at which Jeff does 4 activities. For example, biking has a rate of 19 miles in 2 hours. Whi
ExtremeBDS [4]

The type of activity that Jeff does at a speed of 4.5 miles per hour is Swimming

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

Acceleration is rate of change of velocity.

\large {\boxed {a = \frac{v - u}{t} } }

\large {\boxed {d = \frac{v + u}{2}~t } }

<em>a = acceleration ( m/s² )</em>

<em>v = final velocity ( m/s )</em>

<em>u = initial velocity ( m/s )</em>

<em>t = time taken ( s )</em>

<em>d = distance ( m )</em>

Let us now tackle the problem !

<em>This problem is about Kinematics.</em>

We will solve it in the following way

\texttt{Speed of Biking} = \texttt{Distance of Biking} \div \texttt{Time Taken}

\texttt{Speed of Biking} = \texttt{19} \div \texttt{2}

\texttt{Speed of Biking} = 9.5 \texttt{ miles per hour}

\texttt{ }

\texttt{Speed of Walking} = \texttt{Distance of Walking} \div \texttt{Time Taken}

\texttt{Speed of Walking} = \texttt{14} \div \texttt{4}

\texttt{Speed of Walking} = 3.5 \texttt{ miles per hour}

\texttt{ }

\texttt{Speed of Running} = \texttt{Distance of Running} \div \texttt{Time Taken}

\texttt{Speed of Running} = \texttt{15} \div \texttt{3}

\texttt{Speed of Running} = 5 \texttt{ miles per hour}

\texttt{ }

\texttt{Speed of Swimming} = \texttt{Distance of Swimming} \div \texttt{Time Taken}

\texttt{Speed of Swimming} = \texttt{18} \div \texttt{4}

\texttt{Speed of Swimming} = \boxed{4.5 \texttt{ miles per hour}}

\texttt{ }

It's 16 units. Just look at the lengths and how many times they are on a shape. The shape is a rectangle, which means there will be two of each length, so just add them all together. 6+6+2+2=16
