How has arabia's "crossroads" location affected its culture and society
Nostrana [21]
Arabia is quite famous--ever heard of the Thousand and One Arabian Nights story? The entire creation of this "one" story is actually a compilation of many different stories from both West and South Asia. However, the entire Thousand and One Arabian Nights story has a main frame story that everything else relies on. This is just one example of how Arabia's "crossroads" location affect its culture and society. Go and look at their government :)

zmey [24]

Answer:

Background expectancies

Explanation:

Harold Garfinkel conducted experiments in which students were encouraged to pursue the precise meaning of general or casual comments. The intent was to uncover the backgroung expectancies that people use to structure and organize everyday conversation

According to Garfinkel, the most efficient way to explore how ordinary members of the society produce and recognize the commonly known world of daily affairs is a deliberate breaching of background expectancies we rely on in everyday life. It is background expectancies that provides for the recognizability of routine situations as natural, unproblematic, taken-for-granted. These expectancies constitute what is known as “common sense,” and offer to what is happening its character of reality “known in common with others”. If these expectations are not met (as a result of a special procedure), people begin to make efforts to normalize what is happening, which suggest the sociologist how the daily life in society is organized. Through such breaching experiments Garfinkel shows what are the structural grounds of persons’ common understandings in communication and of systematic manifestations of social affects.

A researcher is interested in measuring the depression among adults over 18 years old, so she asked every students in your class
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

The population in the study are adults over 18 years.

Explanation:

The population in a research work is the entire group of people with specific characteristics that the researcher wishes to study. The population is usually so large that sometimes, it would be very difficult to study all of it. So, most times, the researcher resorts to taking a sample from the entire population and generalizing the result of the findings.

In the study above, the researcher wishes to measure the depression among adults over 18 years. This is the population, which is so large because there are many adults over 18 years. So, the researcher makes his work easier by taking samples from students in your class.
