Answer:

d. $10.68

Explanation:

The computation of sales price per unit is shown below:-

Sales = Cost of Goods Sold + Gross Margin

For computing the sales price per unit first we need to find out the cost of goods sold

Statement of Cost of Goods Sold

Direct material (on July 1)                $6,820

Add:- Purchase Direct Materials        $23,100

Less:- Direct Materials (on July 31) ($7,810)

Direct Material used in Production        $22,110

Add:- Direct Labor                                 $19,800

Manufacturing overhead                       $35,200

Total Production Cost                            $77,110

Add:- Work in process (on July 1)          $770

Less:- Work in process (on July 31)        ($1,320)

Cost of Goods Manufactured                  $76,560

Add:- Finished Goods (on July 1)             $3,630

Less:- Finished Goods (on July 31)          ($2,970)

Cost of Goods Sold                                   $77,220

Sales = Cost of Goods Sold + Gross Margin

=$77,220 + $32,780

= $110,000

Sales price per unit = Sales ÷ Number of Units Sold

= $110,000 ÷ 10,300

= $10.68

kvasek [131]

Answer:

(a)<u> Backward vertical integration</u> (b) <u>Forward vertical integration</u> (c) <u>Backward vertical integration</u>

Explanation:

(a) An academic medical center is an example of backward vertical integration. The specialist and faculties from the university will provide treatment to the patients. Such medical centers have tertiary service with several intermediaries.

(b) Here, there is no intermediary between patients and general surgery group. The general surgery group treat patients directly. So here there is a forward vertical integration system.

(c) A manufacturer of durable medical equipment will supply to retailers who in turn supply these to hospitals where the patients will receive service from these equipment. So, it is an example of backward vertical integration.

b. Merchandise purchases were $53,000 and $86,000 for March and April, respectively. Typically, 20% of total purchases are paid
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

$58,740

Explanation:

The computation of the cash paid is shown below:

For March month

= March purchase × remaining percentage

= $53,000 × 80%

= $42,400

For April month

= April purchase × given percentage ×  after applying cash discount

= $86,000 × 20% × 95%

= $16,340

So, the total amount of cash paid would be

= $42,400 + $16,340

= $58,740

Simply we multiply the monthly percentage with their percentage criteria

Strike441 [17]

Answer:

Option (A) is correct.

Explanation:

Given that,

After-tax IRR on total investment in the property = 9.0%

Before-tax IRR on equity invested = 17%

Before-tax IRR on total investment in the property = 12%

t: Marginal tax rate = 0.40

Break Even Interest rate (neither favorable nor unfavorable):

= 9% ÷ (1 - 0.40)

= 9% ÷ 0.60

= 15%
