Answer: Work done by the box will be 8 Joules.

Explanation:

Work done by a substance is the product of the force applied on it and the displacement of a substance.

Mathematically,

W=F.s

Where,

W = work done = ? J

F = Force applied = 4 N

s = displacement = 2 m

Putting values in above equation, we get:

W=4N\times 2m=8Nm=8J

Hence, work done by the box will be 8 Joules.

Anna [14]

Answer:

3) D: 31 m/s

4) D: 84.84 metres

Explanation:

3) Initial velocity along the x-axis is;

v_x = v_o•cos θ

Initial velocity along the y-axis is;

v_y = v_o•sin θ

Plugging in the relevant values, we have;

v_x = 31 cos 60

v_x = 31 × 0.5

v_x = 15.5 m/s

Similarly,

v_y = 31 sin 60

v_y = 31 × 0.8660

v_y = 26.85 m/s

Thus, magnitude of the initial velocity is;

v = √(15.5² + 26.85²)

v ≈ 31 m/s

4) Formula for horizontal range is;

R = (v² sin 2θ)/g

R = (31² × sin (2 × 60))/9.81

R = 84.84 m

Your teacher (175kg) and the lab (15kg) are 2m apart. What is the gravitational force between them? Draw a FBD, and label
Pachacha [2.7K]
The gravitational force between two objects is given by
F=G \frac{m_1 m_2 }{r^2}
where
G is the gravitational constant
m1 and m2 are the masses of the two objects
r is the separation between the two objects

In this problem, m_1 = 175 kg, m_2 =15 kg and r=2 m, therefore the gravitational force between the two objects is
F=(6.67 \cdot 10^{-11} m^3 kg^{-1} s^{-2}) \frac{(175 kg)(15 kg)}{(2m)^2}=4.38 \cdot10^{-8} N

What is a tool that can be used to measure the size of a force
Travka [436]
The answer to this question would be: a spring scale.

The spring scale that you use to determine your body weight is actually a device that measures your body gravitational force. The force itself influenced by your body weight, that is why it can determine your body weight.
More weight means more force, more force will shrink the spring more.

a block of wood has a length of 4 cm a width of 5 cm and a height of 10 cm what is the volume of the wood
geniusboy [140]

Volume= Length X width X height.

Plug in the values for each and solve for the volume.

V= (L)(W)(H)

V=(4cm)(5cm)(10cm).
