y deserve it and the poor are poor because they deserve it a dead way of thinking, or are there still many people in the United States who believe this to be true? Select one: a. No one believes this anymore. People understand that wealth is usually based on being lucky at birth and inheriting money, or getting lucky in the people you meet and the place you live and go to school. b. Hell, I don't know - I just go with the flow and try not to think too much about the US now being more stratified and less socially mobile than European countries. c. Actually, many wealthy people still believe this to be true, and it helps them justify being rich while others are poor. d. I'm hungry. I think I'll skip this one and go get a snack....where's the beer and chips? I mean, where is the kale and carrots and celery....

Answer:

C

Explanation:

There is a tendency among the rich that whatever they have they deserve it and those who don't possess wealth are destined to be so. Rich people never like to be poor; they do often think the poor should be like that. How can everyone be rich? If so, who will do the sundry works? More so, rich people believe they are rich because of their hard work aided with luck while the poor are poor because they don't work hard and are unlucky enough not to possess wealth. Between the rich and the poor, there emerges prejudice and jealousy; while the poor are jealous to see wealthy people and their luxury the rich carry prejudice against the poor. Who wants another lion in the den? Carrying this notion the rich nurse grudge and ill-opinion against the poor. At the same, the rich justify their fortune since it favors the brave and the poor are not brave.

A Temporal Investigation of Crash Severity Factors in Worker-Involved Work Zone Crashes: Random Parameters and Machine Learning Approaches:

Reason:

In the context of work zone safety, worker presence and its impact on crash severity has been less explored. Moreover, there is a lack of research on contributing factors by time-of-day. To accomplish this, first a mixed logit model was used to determine statistically significant crash severity contributing factors and their effects. Significant factors in both models included work-zone-specific characteristics and crash-specific characteristics, where environmental characteristics were only significant in the daytime model. In addition, results from parameter transferability test provided evidence that daytime and nighttime crashes need to be modeled separately. Further, to explore the nonlinear relationship between crash severity levels and time-of-day, as well as compare the effects of variables to that of the logit model and assess prediction performance, a Support Vector Machines (SVM)

What is meant by machine learning approach?

Machine Learning is an AI technique that teaches computers to learn from experience. Machine learning algorithms use computational methods to “learn” information directly from data without relying on a predetermined equation as a model.
