Lower socioeconomic status in itself results is health inequities, such as decreased access to high quality medical care, long queues for operations, delayed treatment due to inability to pay for it and many other forms. Meanwhile, for <u>minority groups</u> it is <em>further exacerbated because people from these groups are often marginalized, speak poor English and are even treated less diligently by healthcare providers</em>, according to some research.
