A few reasons why Martin Luther took issue with the Catholic Church:

  • He disagreed with any teachings or lessons outside the Bible.
  • He believed Christians were saved on faith rather than on accomplishments.
  • He found the profit the church was making by selling indulgences was corrupt and inexcusable.

Answer:

On 31 October 1517, he published his '95 Theses': attacking papal abuses and the sale of indulgences. Luther had come to believe that Christians are saved through faith and not through their own efforts. This turned him against many of the major teachings of the Catholic Church.

How might the effectiveness of the League of Nations contribute to the<br> start of WWII?
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer: Their efforts to keep peace ended in more bloodshed

Explanation:To ensure that nothing as terrible as World War I ever happened again, the Allied Powers created the Treaty of Versailles and then the League of Nations in order to maintain peace. However, these did not work well, and this in conjunction with the Great Depression caused Germany to become an aggressor. Appeasement in Europe allowed it to continue until finally, Germany’s behavior could no longer be tolerated. Therefore, the failure of the League of Nations was the primary cause of World War II because it led to a series of events that triggered German aggression, ultimately causing World War II.

Cultural Rights Vs. Women’s Rights: How do we strike a balance?
Readme [11.4K]
In an ideal world all human beings will be treated equally, regardless of their gender or ethnicity. In fact, article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.” However in reality this is not practiced. Before it  discuss the challenges I will look at the background of both cultural and religious groups rights and women’s rights. Will Kymlicka (1995) lays down two different kinds of group rights. The first is minority rights that protects the interests of their members and secondly rights which impose restrictions on its members, such as some cultural groups that set prohibitions and regulations on women.
