Answer:

For the control of flux of metabolites (like fructose) to the glycolysis pathway.

Explanation:

Pyruvate kinase regulation is important because it help in the controlling the continuous movement or flow of metabolites such as fructose in the liver. This fructose that enters glycolysis pathways after the PFK step.

Answer:

Pyruvate kinase is the important enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of phosphoenol pyruvate into the pyruvate in the glycolysis cycle. This step generates the ATP molecule.

The regulation of the pyruvate kinase is done by the allosteric regulation and   fructose 1,6 biphosphate activates the pyruvate kinase. This regulation is important as it control the metabolites present in different organs. The metabolites like fructose, galactose enters in the glycolysis from the liver after the particlar step of glycolysis.

Fruit flies have a diploid number of 8, and honeybees have a diploid number of 32. In which case will crossing over have greater
skelet666 [1.2K]
Diploid cells are like daughter cells coming from a mother cell called a haploid cell. So the more daughter cells are born, the greater the chance of getting hybrids and creating more diversity on the genetic races existing. In this case, the answer would have to be honeybees.

Define "Fracking" and ways it can alter/upset the water cycle.
Nata [24]

Answer:

Fracking can contaminate water supplies if it is not done properly, because the fracking fluid injected into rock to enable gas to be released often contains chemicals. If the borehole is not properly cased to stop leaks, the fracking water can escape into the aquifer
