A child during his or her formative years has the high tendency of attracting and opening doors to the manipulative presence of devils. Many children these days manifest the works of demons in their lives and this is made possible because what they were exposed to in life during their formative years, created doorways or entry points for the operations of demons. Children are at the center of the conflict between God and satan. There is popular saying that goes thus “Catch them young”. This is an earthly principle, but it will shock you to know that this was originally a spiritual principle. That’s why the bible says: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. “ – Proverbs 22:6 When a child has any part or department of his or her life taken over, influenced or manipulated by devils, it is easier to have that child grow up to become what the devil desires the child becomes. It is also easy to have the child, now an adult, completely possessed by devils. This singular reason is why a child is the prime target of the devil. Parents are quick to excuse a child’s attitude under the guise of innocence. There are no innocent thoughts, words or actions. Each one is a part of the warfare, no matter how innocent looking or sounding they may be. It is not a matter of good or bad thoughts, words or actions. It is a matter of whether it is from GOD or from the devil. It is a matter of its ultimate use and implication and source. This is how you know that a gradual attempt is being made by devils to woo your child into waywardness. Devils constantly inject all kinds of ideas and thoughts into the mind of a child during his or her formative years and these are what you will see them acting out which as parents we consider to be unruly, stubborn, headstrong or disobedient. Children don’t often times know this or that is wrong, and if they are not checked during their formative years, they would grow up with those character traits and get out of control. The graph above shows how the price of video games varies with the demand quantity. Suppose that the price of video games is set
ira [324]
Price floor.
A floor, in real life, is at the bottom, below you — this then makes sense in business to say that a ‘floor’ represents the minimum value of something — in this case the price of video games.
In real life, a ceiling is above you, indicating that it could be used as a representative of a maximum value of something, like the price of a video game.

So, if we were to say that $120 was the ‘price ceiling’ for video games, then we would basically be saying that $120 is the most a video game could cost. If we were to say that $100 was the ‘price floor’ for video games, we would be saying that $100 is the minimum value that the price of a video game could assume.

Erin Shelton, Inc., wants to earn a target profit of $960,000 this year. The company’s fixed costs are expected to be $1,320,000
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

1. Break-even sales = $2,200,000

2. Net Income = $0

3. Sales = $3,800,000

4. See explanation section

5. Margin of safety = $1,600,000

Margin of safety (%) = 42.11%

Explanation:

Requirement 1.

We know,

Break-even sales = Fixed expense ÷ Contribution Margin Ratio

Given,

Expected Fixed expense = $1,320,000

Contribution Margin Ratio = Contribution Margin ÷ Sales Revenue

As we do not have contribution margin and Sales Revenue, we have to use variable costs that is expected to be 40% of sales. Therefore,

Contribution Margin Ratio = Sales (%) - variable costs (%) = 100% - 40% = 60%

Therefore, Break-even sales = $1,320,000 ÷ 60%

Break-even sales = $1,320,000 ÷ 60%

Therefore, Break-even sales = $2,200,000

Requirement 2.

                         Erin Shelton, Inc.

Contribution Margin Income Statement format

For the year ended, December 31, Current year

Sales Revenue                                          $2,200,000 (<em>Requirement 1</em>)

<u>Less: Variable expense (40% of sales)         880,000</u>

Contribution Margin                                  $1,320,000

<u>Less: Fixed Expense                                   1,320,000</u>

Net operating Income                                        0

In break-even sales, total fixed expense = total contribution margin, therefore, no income or loss.

Requirement 3.

We know,

This year, To attain profit, sales = (Fixed expense + Target Profit) ÷ Contribution Margin Ratio

Given,

Expected Fixed expense = $1,320,000

Target Profit = $960,000

Contribution Margin Ratio = Contribution Margin ÷ Sales Revenue

As we do not have contribution margin and Sales Revenue, we have to use variable costs that is expected to be 40% of sales. Therefore,

Contribution Margin Ratio = Sales (%) - variable costs (%) = 100% - 40% = 60%

Therefore, To attain profit, sales = ($1,320,000 + $960,000) ÷ 60%

To attain profit, sales = $2,280,000 ÷ 60%

Therefore, To attain profit, sales = $3,800,000

Requirement 4.

Using To attain profit, sales = $3,800,000 (From Requirement 3) to find the net operating income

                          Erin Shelton, Inc.

Contribution Margin Income Statement format

For the year ended, December 31, Current year

Sales Revenue                                          $3,800,000 (<em>Requirement 3</em>)

<u>Less: Variable expense (40% of sales)        1520,000</u>

Contribution Margin                                  $2,280,000

<u>Less: Fixed Expense                                   1,320,000</u>

Net operating Income                                $960,000

Requirement 5.

We know,

Margin of safety = (Current sales - Break-even sales)

<em>From Requirement 1, we get, Break-even sales = $2,200,000</em>

<em>From Requirement 3, we get, Current sales = $3,800,000</em>

Margin of safety = $3,800,000 - $2,200,000

Therefore, Margin of safety = $1,600,000

Margin of safety as percentage = [(Current sales - Break-even sales) ÷ Current sales] × 100

Margin of safety = ($1,600,000 ÷ $3,800,000) × 100

or, Margin of safety = 0.42105 × 100

Margin of safety = 42.11%

A seller's costs are a $14,700 commission, $3,150 in excise tax, $650 for a buyer's policy of title insurance, $250 in escrow fe
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

Seller's proceeds = $66,300

Explanation:

Given:

Seller's costs = $14,700

Commission = $3,150

Excise tax = $650

Escrow fees = $250

Loan payoff = $126,000

Purchase price receive = $210,000

Refund on property taxes paid in advance = $1,050

Computation of seller's proceeds:

Seller's proceeds = (Purchase price receive + Refund on property taxes paid in advance) -  (Seller's costs + Commission + Excise tax + Escrow fees + Loan payoff)

Seller's proceeds = ($210,000 + $1,050) - ($14,700 + $3,150 + $650 + $250 + $126,000)

Seller's proceeds = ($211,050) - ($144,750)

Seller's proceeds = $66,300
