Do 6 times 8.50 then subtract that from 250. then divide the answer by 6 and that will give you how many students

Let, the number of students = x
Number of teachers = y = 6

Equation would be: 6x + 8.5y = 250
6x + 8.5(6) = 250
6x + 51 = 250
6x = 250 - 51
x = 199 / 6
x = 33.16

Students can't be in fraction, so after rounding-off, it will be 33

In short, Your Answer would be 33 Students

Hope this helps!

At a school number of boys : number of girls = 11 : 9
aliya0001 [1]
Ok, so 11:9
11-9 = 2
which means that 124= 2:1
124/2 = 62
so 62:0
now 11 x 62= 682
9 x 62= 558

so the ratio is 682:558
now 682 + 558 = 1,240
There are 1,240 total students in the school. 682 boys and 558 girls

How do you solve 8/11(n-10)=64
krek1111 [17]

Answer:

n = 98

Step-by-step explanation:

8/11 x (n - 10) = 64

multiply both sides of the equation by 11/8

11/8 x 8/11 x (n-10) = 11/8 x 64

reduce the numbers with greatest common divisor 11

1/8 x 8 (n-10) = 11/8 x 64

n - 10 = 11 x 8

multiply the numbers

n - 10 = 88

so then you add the numbers

n = 88 + 10

n= 98
