Well being that almost 71% of the earth is water and water is what we depend on. We would all die. And the earth would be very dry and it would just wipe out the existence of humans. You would not be able to drive cars either because gas is like water so yea we would be extinct.

Hope this helps

Which statement is INCORRECT concerning a single bond that is polar? Chose all that apply(1) A single covalent bond contains onl
Nataly_w [17]

Answer: Option (3) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

A covalent bond is defined as the bond formed by sharing of electrons. A single covalent bond involves only two electrons.

When four electrons are shared unequally between two atoms then it results in the formation of a double bond.

And, when six electrons are shared unequally then it results in the formation of a triple bond.

It is true that a single covalent bond is weaker than a double covalent bond. Also, a triple covalent bond is stronger than a single covalent bond.

Therefore, we can conclude that the statement four electrons are shared unequally between two different atoms, is INCORRECT concerning a single bond that is polar.

Calculate the number of molecules in 0.54 grams of Ca(NO3)2
Volgvan

Explanation:

We have to find the number of molecules that are present in 0.54 g of Ca(NO₃)₂.

First we have to convert the mass of our sample into moles of Ca(NO₃)₂. We will use the molar mass of Ca(NO₃)₂ to do that.

molar mass of Ca = 40.08 g/mol

molar mass of N = 14.01 g/mol

molar mass of O = 16.00 g/mol

molar mass of Ca(NO₃)₂ = 1 * 40.08 g/mol + 2 * 14.01 g/mol + 6 * 16.00 g/mol

molar mass of Ca(NO₃)₂ = 164.10 g/mol

mass of Ca(NO₃)₂ = 0.54 g

moles of Ca(NO₃)₂ = 0.54 g * 1 mol/(164.10 g)

moles of Ca(NO₃)₂ = 0.00329 moles

According to Avogadro's number there are 6.022 *10^23 molecules in 1 mol of molecules. We can use that relationship to find the number of molecules that are present in our sample.

6.022 *10^23 molecules = 1 mol

molecules of Ca(NO₃)₂ = 0.00329 moles * 6.022 *10^23 molecules/(1 mol)

molecules of Ca(NO₃)₂ = 2.0 * 10^21 molecules

Answer: there are 2.0 * 10^21 molecules of Ca(NO₃)₂ in 0.54 g of it.
